Traveling to neighboring countries
Border queues to Bosnia & Herzegovina or Montenegro can mean up to 10 hours of waiting in summer — here's why we suggest skipping cross-border day trips.
Although Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro have places that we can absolutely recommend visiting (e.g. Mostar, Kotor...), traveling from Dubrovnik to neighboring countries in the summer months can literally turn into waiting at the borders that can last for hours (often up to 10 hours). Therefore, our recommendation is not to travel to destinations that involve crossing borders.
